How wonderful to see Ms Doris Day looking so well and cheery on her birthday! I have lots of wonderful friends who had the good fortune to share her birthday wishes with her. All the best to a wonderful lady..who has done so much for the world of music, film and the rights of our furry friends.

any thing to do with DD is great she has always been my favourite as musicals and singing i have just ordered the box set of your films to watch on holiday thanks for all the fun you have given us and love to your animals and thanks for putting this tribute to geather many more xx

My life consist of taking care of people your age.I sing your songs all the time my favorite resident that has now passed loved you more than anything and everytime I hear your name, see your picture, or hear one of your songs it reminds me of her. I will be out in California this September for my friend's wedding any chance we can meet up?

What a treasure this lady is!! I was thrilled once again to talk with her a couple of days before her birthday and she sounded really well and was looking forward to spending a nice day at home with friends. I asked if she watched much TV and she replied "oh, not much" and I said how much of it was rubbish these days to which she said "Oh boy, you got THAT right!!

Doris has been my favorite and my idol my entire life long and I am now 73. Growing up, as a singer, I sang as much as I could like Doris and then I met my own Gordon MacRae look-alike and we've been married for 52 years. We love looking at Doris's films and listening to her creamy, dreamy voice. Thank you, Doris, for all you've added to my life. Patricia White in Zanesville, Ohio.

You have always been my idol as a gay child. My first one I was so gingham that lasted 4 years and my second one bruce I cooked and freeze that lasted 9 years. At 40 I met a 33 year old who doesn't believe I was sooo Doris Day. But I was you were my legend. I got tired of it. We adopted a Tea-Cup poodle our baby. Thank you miss kappelhoff xx
