This season many of the regular characters are gone including Buck and the boys with no explanation. Jackie Joseph and John Dehner join the cast as does Peter Lawford playing Doris's love interest.

Synopsis

Doris's boss makes it difficult to get an interview with a TV talk-show host.
Doris and Mr. Jarvis wind up in jail after they are suspected of robbing a Jewelry store.
Doris falls in love with an Italian in Rome and is heartbroken when a difference of opinion comes between them.
Doris learns that a consultant hired by Mrs. Fairburn's charity is stealing money from it. She concocts a plan to expose the thief and get the money back.
Angie goes to a spa with Doris who's on an undercover assignment spying on the wife of a soon-to-be released convict.
Mr. Jarvis is persuaded by Doris to run for a seat on the City Council.
Doris' dating service computer match turns out to be more than just a lonely bachelor.
Doris' cousin Charlie gets her involved in an espionage plot following his visit to the Far East.
Angie tries to fix Doris up with an airline pilot.

Doris goes to England to try to get Sir Robert Kingsley to allow Today's World Magazine to publish his book in their magazine.
Doris is mistakenly kidnapped by revolutionaries in the Middle East as a romantic interest for the Sultan.
Peter Lawford joins the cast as Dr. Peter Lawrence, doctor to hypochondriac Cyril Bennett. When Doris meets him love sparks fly for both of them.
Doris is fired after an writing an article that upsets her publisher. But when Doris and Angie witness an attempted theft of valuable art objects during their preview of the exhibit, Doris threatens to sell the story to a competitor.
Doris plays Santa to clear another St. Nick of a murder charge. Look for entertainer Rockwell as a young boy disheartened by Santa's arrest.
Doris visits the state penitentiary to try and get gangster Frankie Fury's life story.
Doris is recruited by Peter into service as a surgical nurse for an emergency operation on a famous Greek billionaire.
On a train trip in France Doris gets involved in foreign intrigue when the theft of a diamond takes place.
Angie is expecting a litter of pups from her dog Sophie. Doris overhears and misconstrues it thinking Angie is expecting and decides to throw a baby shower.
Jackie gets into trouble when she donates Cy's precious trenchcoat to a thrift shop until Doris hunts down the coat now owned by a skid row bum.
A romantic triangle as Doris's house guest Thelma who was left at the altar puts the moves on Mr. Jarvis as her fiance comes to town to win her back.
Doris's night on the town with a butler posing as a prince lands her in deep water at the casino.
Doris asks former flame Carlo Benedetti to paint the cover for the magazine. He racks up the expense account and has no work to show for it.

Doris persuades her dry cleaner to show his designs in a fashion show by Jacques Moreau. Doris is the only model in the show.
Doris's job is in jeopardy when an article about a prominent San Francisco family ancestor does not sit well with the relatives.
